APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR THE NINTH EDITION OF CASTELLO ERRANTE

We’re back! Castello Errante is reopening applications for its ninth edition, renewing its commitment to creating a unique experience for young professionals in the audiovisual field.
The international crew selected through the Calls will produce a short fiction film and take part in an intensive program of training and experimentation.
All of this will take place in a charming Italian village.

An opportunity to work with internationally renowned teachers and professionals, explore new creative perspectives, and contribute to an innovative model of film production that values local territories and promotes cultural exchange between Italy and Latin America.

The Calls are open for the selection of:

A script for a short fiction film
An international crew ready to take on the challenge of creating the film, while also participating in exclusive masterclasses and workshops.

LOOKING TOWARD THE FUTURE

Once again this year, Castello Errante will build an intercontinental bridge between academic training and the audiovisual industry, offering Italian and Latin American young professionals a concrete and international opportunity for growth.
Each edition, the crew is made up of talents selected from some of the most prestigious film schools in Italy and Latin America, working side by side to create an unprecedented educational and production experience.

Thanks to the participation of university professors and professionals from around the world, the project promotes international exchange, networking, and cultural hybridization—key elements for shaping new visions and cinematic languages.

Castello Errante is a project organized by Occhi di Giove S.r.l. with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with IILA – Italo-Latin American International Organization, Roma Lazio Film Commission, AANT – Academy of Arts and New Technologies, Doc/it – Italian Documentary Filmmakers Association, Red TAL – Union of Latin American Public and Cultural Channels, the embassies of Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Honduras, Haiti, Mexico, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela, along with a broad network of national and international cultural partners and festivals.
